Flock

I started using Flock as a web browser today. It is like Firefox with drag and drop social media capabilities. Having a wide screen monitor allows me to have more going on at one time. Fortunately my “friends” list is really small. My feeds are numerous though.

Tabetha Haugen

I had a really fun time getting to know Tabetha Haugen last weekend. Normally shy and subordinate to her older sister, she came out of her shell

Marine sponge glass skeleton

This is to test how large a photo file is when exported from picasa to blogger via the "blog this" button. Posted by Picasa

The result is 320X240px (23KB) and if clicked on it opens in another window as 640X480px (96KB). The original was 2048x1536px and 1,400KB!

Science Museum of Minnesota Buzz Blog

I am being paid to create content and moderate comments on the Science Museum of Minnesota's Buzz Blog. What a sweet job. I can even do everything from my home computer. This page tracks posts by ARTiFactor. The front page of Buzz has links to daily feeds from their current science RSS aggregator. Readers can also ask scientists questions about doing science. One, Kristi Curry Rogers, Curator of Paleontology at the Science Museum, answers questions about giant dinosaurs in Madagascar.

Armadillo new to Como Park

I have four photos of this new armadillo shown at the Como Park Holiday celebration thrown for its volunteers. Only one loaded when I clicked "blog this" when the tray had all four. I guess I will edit them in later. Posted by Picasa

Tagu Lizard

This is a new Tagu lizard at Como Park they call Mr. T. He is part of the education collection. He acted real good for only his second time on display. Posted by Picasa
